The Costa Brava is one of the most charming sea areas in Spain. On our Costa Brava Tour from Barcelona we will have about 11 hours to enjoy with tranquility wonderful places such as Calella de Palafrugell, Palsand Begur.
Leaving Barcelona, the first stop will be at Calella de Palafrugell, a famous fishing village with great beauty, thanks to the surrounding landscapes and its numerous coves. We will have free time to tour the village (45 minutes). At 11:00 am we will start a walking tourby the charming Camino to Ronda (30 min, suitable for all ages), which will take us to the village of Llafranc. We will take a break here for lunch and, if you wish, you can also enjoy a swim in the Mediterranean Sea at its splendid beach.
We will then continue our journey to another charming fishing village on the Costa Brava: Begur. This town is known for its elegant mansions nestled beneath an ancient castle and is especially famous for its iconic "Indiano Houses." As you stroll through its streets, you'll discover a unique architectural style that blends Mediterranean and Caribbean influences in an original way.
Next, we’ll visit two of the best-preserved medieval villages in Catalonia. One of them is Peratallada, considered one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in the country. Its striking location atop a rocky outcrop, along with the impressive moat carved into the rock that surrounds the village, is truly remarkable. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a walk through its narrow, winding streets, taking in its original castle-palace, its outstanding fortification system, and the traditional stone houses, whose streets have remained virtually unchanged over the centuries.
To finish this Costa Brava day trip we will visit the impressive medieval village of Pals, situated on the top of a hill. From the towers of its wall we can see a fantastic view of the Costa Brava.
Then we'll start the journey back. At 20:00 hours we will arrive in Barcelona.
