The guided tour in Baeza will begin in one of the most emblematic squares of the city, the Plaza de Pópulo, framed by the Puerta de Jaén and the Arch of Villalar and with the iconic Fountain of the Lions in the center. From here you can contemplate the old Carnicerías, the Civil Audience and the Ancient Scribes, now headquarters of the tourism office of the Junta de Andalucía.
You will continue in the company of your guide to the Plaza de Santa María, a monumental heart of the Basque Country, where the largest number of monuments in the city are concentrated: the Consistorial Houses, the Fountain of Santa María, the Seminary of San Felipe Neri, Universidad Internacional de Andalucía and the Cathedral, in a Renaissance style.
You will reach the interior of the Cathedral, where its three naves with 16th-century vaults stand out, the great baroque altarpiece and the Custodia, finely carved in silver, finest jewel of baroque art and still parading processionally every day of the Corpus.
Later on, you will cross the Paseo de las Murallas until you reach the Plaza de la Santa Cruz, where you will find the Romanesque Church of the Holy Cross and the majestic Jabalquinto Palace.
