You will start traveling from Madrid aboard a comfortable bus to Toledo, the City of Three Cultures, where Moors, Jews and Muslims lived together. Once in Toledo, you will visit the exteriors of the Cathedral, in Gothic style. In the old Jewish Quarter you will enter the Church of Santo Tomé where the painting "The Burial of Count Orgaz" is located, masterpiece of El Greco. You will continue visiting the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, which dates from 1180. We will also see the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes .
We will return to Madrid at 2:00 pm for lunch (not included) and at 3:00 pm you will depart to visit Aranjuez.
You will delight in admiring the famous Royal Palace of Aranjuez, where you can appreciate the diversity of decorative styles, highlighting the Chinese Room or Porcelain Cabinet and the Hall of the Throne of Isabel II. In its captivating environment, the most important gardens of the Austrian era in Spain await you: the Prince Gardens, the Parterre and the Island. In 2001, UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Cultural Landscape.
You will also enjoy the Museum of Royal Feluccas (a type of long and narrow light boats, used in ports and rivers). It was built in 1963 and exhibits the boats used by the royal family to navigate the Tagus River. These include a gondola belonging to Philip V, although the ship actually dates to the reign of Charles II, and the boats of Charles IV, Ferdinand VII and Elizabeth II.
At the end of the afternoon, you will return by bus to Madrid , taking with you an indelible memory of this intense day to two emblematic Spanish cities.
