With the Cathedral of Malaga and Historic Center walking Tour you will be able to explore, accompanied by an expert guide, the most important places of the heart of Malaga city bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, the oldest in Europe.
The tour begins at Plaza de la Merced, also known as the Market, where we find the statue of the famous painter Pablo Ruiz Picasso and also his birthplace, which now houses the headquarters of the Picasso Foundation.
We will continue along the historic Granada Street untill reach the Church of Santiago , the oldest in Malaga, and then the Plaza de la Constitucion . From here we will access the famous Pasaje de Chinitas and also the Calle Larios , one of the most commercial and important streets in Malaga.
Then, we will arrive at the Plaza del Obispo , where is the Bishop's Palace and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Incarnation , or "La Manquita", as it is popularly known, an architectural landmark that constitutes the largest monument in the city.
We will explore this Christian temple inside, visiting its dependencies and knowing about the history of this Renaissance jewel, considered one of the most valuable in Andalusia. We will see the High Altar, the vaults and the baroque choir, among other attractions of the Cathedral.
