Continuing the Chefchaouen walking tour, we will visit the great Masjid El Aadam mosque and the walled fortress of the Alcazaba (Kasbah), built at the end of the 17th century. We will be bordering the mosque, the Mellah (Jewish quarter) and the popular souks, full of textile shops and original handicrafts from the area. Then we will walk through the Jaracin, known by the locals as the neighborhood of the shoemakers, there is the prominent Sidi Buhansa Mosque.
Leaving the Medina and crossing the Bab Onsar gate, we stop to admire the Ras el Ma Fountain, which will catch us with the incredible views of its waterfalls and natural pools formed over the years. We'll see its mills and the indigenous laundries. Next, we will visit the striking Jemaa Bouzafar Mosque, also called “the Spanish Mosque”.
Saying goodbye to Chefchaouen, we will take a last stop in the Rif Sebbadin neighborhood, where two incredible places are located: Sebbadin Square and its original 15th century mosque. Then we will return to Tangier, and thus conclude our journey through this enchanting city.
