On this Cinque Terre day trip from Florence we will visit the impressive Ligurian coasts, a territory declared World Heritage by UNESCO . The area is characterized by kilometers of rocky coastline full of bays, beaches and deep water with spectacular views.
We will visit the Cinque Terre National Park (5 lands), a small corner of paradise divided between five towns suspended on the cliffs overlooking the sea, of which we will visit: Manarola , Vernazza and Monterosso. In addition, we will have free time in the colorful coastal town of Portovenere. You will enjoy a unique landscape, where the vegetation and lush vineyards create a spectacular setting.
The first town we will visit in the Cinque Terre will be Manarola, a small urban jewel full of tower houses of typical Genoese style. From here we will take the train to the next destination: Vernazza, a small town dominated by the ruins of a medieval castle and a cylindrical tower originating from the 11th century.
We will board the train again towards Monterosso, known as 'the pearl of the Cinque Terre'. This old fishing village stands out for the beauty of its beaches and the lush vegetation that extends to the rocks.
In Monterosso we will take a break for lunch, where you can taste the typical Ligurian dishes (lunch is not not included).
We will continue aboard a boat heading to Portovenere, a destination that any good visitor to the Ligurian coast cannot miss. You will have free time to visit this beautiful town and take a swim in the sea before taking our train to return to Florence, where we will arrive around 8:45 p.m.
- Important:: The ferry journey to Portovenere will be possible as long as weather conditions allow it. In cases where it is not possible, we will travel by train.
