Afterwards we will walk near Dante’s home and discuss the infamous Church of Dante and Beatrice. We will then stop and see Palazzo Vecchio, famous for its civil architecture, the location of the guilds, and the Medici family political court. While in Piazza della Signoria, you will see an open-air museum consisting of many statues including the copy of Michelangelo’s David, as well as many other noteworthy works, including the often unseen Profile carved by Michelangelo.
You will then walk through the wings of the Uffizi Gallery. Following the Arno River, you will walk towards Ponte Vecchio, famous for its gold jewellery shops.
The tour ends in front of Palazzo Pitti. Before the conclusion of the tour, you will have discovered much more than you ever imagined while visiting Florence.
