Did you know that the most important solar observatory in the world is located in Teide National Park ? Visit the Park, World Heritage Site and the interesting Teide Observatory.
We will start the day by picking you up at your hotel in the north or south of Tenerife. On our way to our destination, we will admire the typical Canarian pine landscapes, characteristic throughout the island. Already in the National Park of Las Cañadas del Teide, a promising day awaits us, touring its beautiful volcanic landscapes, taking photos of the spectacular views, and knowing by our guide the history of Tenerife and the Canary Islands, closely linked to volcanic eruptions.
At lunchtime, we will stop and you will have free time to replenish your strength in Teide's restaurant or café, or even enjoy your own meal.
After lunch, it is a very special visit to the Teide Observatory, the most important solar observatory in the world. For an hour and a half you will get to know the telescope inside, perform a solar observation and understand what astrophysics is and what activity the researchers carry out in the Teide Observatory.
At the end of the afternoon, we will start the trip back to Tenerife hotels.

Important
- In the event that the guided visit of the Observatory cannot be held due to adverse weather conditions, its cost shall be reimbursed.

- The tour takes place on Tuesdays in English, Thursdays in German and Sundays in Spanish.
Please note
- The Teide Observatory (TO) is located at an altitude of approximately 2,400 meters above sea level, an altitude at which oxygen diminishes. Groups will move about within the TO on gravel paths. For this reason, the visit is not recommended for people with general health problems (anaemia, breathing or heart problems, etc.) and for children under 8.
- Our recommendations: Wear warm clothing and proper footwear. Protect yourself from sunstroke. Due to the elevated luminosity, wear sunglasses.

Free! cancellation up to 24 hours before the date of the activity with 100% refund / Less than 24 hours, late arrival or no show: no refund will be provided.
Starting Point
- We will pick you up at your hotel in Tenerife North or South. Please select an hotel at the time of booking. Pick-up time depends on the pick-ups scheduled for each day; it will be announced to you by e-mail or text the day before the activity, which is why we kindly ask you to check your messages.
- Tenerife South: Callao-Paraíso, La Caleta, Ten Bel, Los Gigantes, Las Américas, Chayofa, Golf del Sur and Los Cristianos.
- Tenerife North: Puerto de la Cruz.
- Important: Tuesdays only pick-ups are made from the south of Tenerife.
