Feel a scientist for a day, knowing in an enjoyable way the Tenerife Observatory and the activity of its researchers. During the Teide Observatory tour you will receive an introduction about the importance of the Canary Islands sky, the telescopes of the Tenerife Observatory and the different projects of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, the institution that manages this solar observatory.
You will also participate in the astrophysics workshop taught at the visitor centre, where our guides will explain what astrophysics is and how astrophysicists work.
In addition, you will observe the sunspots and the flares of the sun through two solar telescopes that we will put at your disposal for you to enjoy in a great way. You will also visit the interior of a night telescope, from which you will not leave without knowing its operation and exciting history.

- The Teide Observatory (TO) is located at an altitude of approximately 2,400 meters above sea level, an altitude at which oxygen diminishes. Groups will move about within the TO on gravel paths. For this reason, the visit is not recommended for people with general health problems (anaemia, breathing or heart problems, etc.) and for children under 8.

What are the payment methods?
Single payment: The payment of the total amount will be made at the time of booking. Cash payments are not accepted on the day of the visit.
Payment the day of the tour: A first payment of a percentage of the total will be required at the time of booking and the second payment of the remaining amount you will pay at the destination on the day of the activity, in cash or card, as indicated. Please note that only payments in local currency will be accepted (for example in Spain only EUROS will be accepted).
Payment in 2 installments: It will be necessary to pay a first payment of a percentage of the total amount when making the reservation. The second payment of the remaining amount must be made before the day of the activity, on the deadline indicated. In case of reaching this date and the pending amount has not been paid, the reservation will be cancelled and the amount paid initially will be refunded. Please note that this payment method is applied to reservations whose departure date is more than 30 days from the reservation date. For reservations whose departure date is within the following 30 days, 100% of the amount will be charged at the time of booking.
