Many call Ronda the “dream city”; when you visit it, you will see that they are definitely not wrong. We will pick you up from your hotel to accompany us on this Ronda day trip from Granada. We will visit the gardens of the Alameda del Tajo, the Ronda bullring and the iconic Church of Santa María, among other emblematic places and monuments. Finally we will explore the Wine Museum and La Sangre de Ronda wine cellars, where we will be able to taste the best local wines.
Upon arrival in Ronda we will visit the Alameda del Tajo, taking a walk through its beautiful botanical garden that dates back to the 19th century. When leaving the Alameda, we will head towards the Ronda bullring, famous worldwide for being one of the oldest bullrings in Spain. Continuing the route, we will find the iconic New bridge, which links the old and modern districts of Ronda. From there, you can enjoy exceptional views of the Tajo de Ronda.
Then, we will visit other important bridges, such as Old Bridge and Felipe Bridge , which also offer beautiful panoramic views of the city and the surrounding nature.
Our next stop will be at St. Mary's Church. Here we can see the Mudéjar Tower, one of the remains of the old mosque on which the church was built. We will also see the “Casita de la torre”, a small Mudejar oratory decorated with horseshoe arches.
Finally, we will enter the Wine Museum, where you will learn the history of this delicious drink in 12 themed rooms. Then we will visit La Sangre de Ronda wine cellars to taste the best local wines.
After the view of the museum and the wineries, you will have free time to tour Ronda on your own before begin on the way back to Granada.
The tour is guaranteed in the selected language. However, sometimes the tour could be conducted in two languages simultaneously, in the selected language and a second language.
